This week Walgreen's had Almay True Blend Mascara buy one get one 50% off at $6.99

They also have a store coupon in their November coupon book for $4 off (this comes off each of the products you buy)

BUT

When you purchase them they ring up buy 1 get 1 free so it looks like this

$4 Walgreens coupon -8.00

Total Due -1.01

Overage doesn't result in cash back to you so make sure you have a filler item to eat up the difference. I would suggest something small with a register reward!

Interesting Publix News!

I got an email tonight from a great new couponing friend telling me that Publix accepts Walgreen's Register Rewards! This is wonderful news! I checked with the 3 Publix stores in my area and here is what I found out.

Hixson Pike Store-Will accept 1 register reward per customer and it must be under $5

Snow Hill Rd. Store-Have tried to ring them up before and the computer will not let them as it is more of a sale than a coupon

East Brainerd Rd. Store-not considered a competitor coupon, will not accept

**UPDATE**

I emailed Jenny @ Southern Savers who I believe knows everything about any and everything coupons. She tells me that these are in fact a true manufacturers coupon and she has seen them used successfully at CVS, WalMart, etc. So, if your store will let you scan or use them, they are the same as and will function as a manufacturers coupon. I stand corrected :)

BIG big CVS news. My sister and I were told about the "possibility" of this promotion a few months back and were very excited about it. This is free ECB's people, just for using a reusable shopping bag which most of us already do. CVS is going green and starting this week near the register at your local CVS there will be a green tag leaf tag that attaches to your shopping bag, much like a luggage tag.

Just attach it to your favorite bag and go shopping!

Everytime you make a CVS purchase the cashier will scan your tag and every 4th time it is scanned you will earn a $1 ECB, just for shopping with your bag. The ECB will print on your receipt just like normal! I can't wait, this will look so cute on my pink shopping bag I got for Breast Cancer Awareness month!
